ENERGY EFFICIENT SAVING PROGRAM
  • HVAC - the largest energy user in your home, newer units have a better AFUE rating (annual fuel utilization efficiency) and higher SEER (seasonal energy efficiency rating) and can give you a quieter warmer and cooler home throughout the season
  • Insulation - Adding or replacing the insulation in your attic or walls can be one of the best investments you can make, and provide a return on your investment in a matter of a few months or years and will put cash in your pocket as the utility companies continue raising rates.
  • Windows - Also have the best return on investment by keeping your home at stable temps throughout the year and reducing outdoor noise, while giving you reduced energy costs up to 50%. This is a good compliment to insulation
  • Ceiling Fans - the air movement created from a good fan can eliminate the need to run your A.C. on cooler days. Ceiling fans also help distribute warm air in the winter, helping reduce energy costs year round.
  • Solar Tube or Skylight - increases natural lighting and also doubles as can light at night (certain models only)
  • Compact Florescent Light Bulbs (CFL) - homes using incandescent light bulbs can attribute up to 25% of there electric bills. CFL's lights use 75% less energy and 10 times as long, and will be required in CAL GREEN standards
